Talk to your Captain. If my FO came to me with info like that, I wouldn't even hesitate--she's off my plane, and I'm taking full responsibility for that decision since I know you're on probation/new and I am not.

If the trip is over, I'd strongly consider writing an e-mail to my regional CP stating that you were concerned being a new hire FO on probation, and having worked a trip with an FA who constantly cursed within earshot of the pax. Write it professionally and respectfully, and mention that as someone completely new to the industry, you'd like to know the best way to deal with that kind of situation in the future if you have to work that person again.

You were just berating Silverwings for asking a question about circling limitations on type ratings...and now you're asking dumb questions about Skynet? lollllll

Any military reservists out there who work for Mesa? I've heard some stories second hand that, laws aside, the company isn't particularly cooperative when it comes to mil leave. This is something I'm thinking of doing, but I'd like to be able to maintain my employment. PM me if you want.

If I book a business class ticket for $100, would I have a better chance of getting on a flight....I understand the whole priority thing, but I'm sure there are some people that wouldn't want to spend the extra $100, and give up their seat.

No. 99% of the time revenue upgrades take all the 1st class seats.

Looking at the roster there are several pilots on MIL leave so it can't be too hard.

Tell JO to keep his wife at home. I hate it when he lets her go out and work a few flights. (Sorry JO couldn't resist)

I'm sure they don't want anyone taking leave if they can help it, but Mesa's vote doesn't count here. If you have an obligation to serve through the guard or the reserves, then they have to cooperate by law. Else they could have one wicked lawsuit and/or fine on their doorstep.

I heard that sims are starting to get backed up... If you passed your oral , but aren't able to take the flying part within the 45 day mark (let's says 48-50 days later) will they really make you retake the entire oral?

Does anybody have any kind of Intel regards what is going on with hiring?
I hear mixed information such as people getting a call within two days to a week back in December and others four weeks before they got a call.
I also heard there is a transition in training facilities being used that might be delaying calls to applicants.
Thanks in advance for any replies or feedback.
