From the horses mouth... and by horse I mean "THE HORSE."

Option for 30 more E175s on top of the 30 (60 total).

10 More 900's (to be announced any day)

They are working HARD with United on a flow. (They don't want us here anymore than we want to be, longevity costs more money for the company)

And the big one..... We will be purchasing American Eagle then parking all the 50 seaters. This won't happen next month or the month after but more like over the next 2-3 years.

I called the 175s last spring. It happened. Let's see.

A lot is happening.

Question for anyone who can answer it.....
How are constant duty overnight accommodations handled at Mesa when a CDO status occurs ? Are crews put up in hotels or left to fend for themselves ?

Ha, no they put you in a hotel. However, I believe CDOs or standups won't be legal after Jan 1 anyways.

CDO's will still be legal, but more restrictive. I can't give details because every time I try to read 117, my head ends up spinning.

Well there goes EVERYONE'S seniority. New guys... You were a line holding CA 2.5 years from now, until all those senior guys piled in ahead of you. This will devastate the bottom 2/3rds of Mesa's list. I hope you're very wrong on this prediction. We need new blood under us, not lifers ahead of us!

would MAG operate an airline purchase as a separate subsidiary, same as Mesa Airlines?

Career expectations. Will operate as separate carriers. New hires today will long be holding CA lines before any SLI.

So what happens to Eagle's "pilots are guaranteed spots at American, no interview, no physical", after they get Mesa'd?

And if there is no SLI, as the 50 seaters at Eagle get parked, in order to make use of all those pilots, (ostensibly the reason for buying them) all the new growth and bigger airplanes would have to be put on the Eagle Certificate, not the Mesa certificate.

Why is this rumor good? If it happened how would it help anyone? I don't like this rumor at all Prior121 - sorry. Did the "HORSE" neigh this out too, or is this your own? - no disrespect intended. And quit being so cryptic.

Aren't half the 50 seaters from "American Eagle" under American Connection a.k.a. Chautauqua? How is that going to work out of curiosity?

GO TO MESA! IT'S A GREAT DEAL! BECOME A PILOT!

I'd work at Starbucks before I work for MESA @ its $22.18/hr. rate.

Fly 850 hours a year
Be away from base around 3,500 hours a year

NET hourly rate probably ends up being around $6.50/hr.

Dream of being a pilot now because once you become one, you'll dream of "Wishing you had taken the job at Starbucks."
