"Engine trouble" - that could mean a lot of things. Probably a caution rather than a high vibration or failure scenario.

177 number Seniority Split between the two fleets. I think a lot of guys are holding out for the EJET. A 7 month upgrade on the CRJ9 in Dallas.

The E175 pays less than the CRJ900 even though they are both RJs of the same weight? The lessor paying jet with only one domicile to choose from is more senior? why?

It is based on number of seats. Some of the 900s still have over 76 seats and therefore pay more, and some of them have 76 and pay the same as the 175. Not sure if they are converting them all to 76 seaters or if some will still have more.

Doesn't look great for some of us junior guys in PHX. Any opinions on what PHX might look like in a few months?

The speculation is shrinking by a third to a half... It does suck.

I've been talking to friends who work office jobs for Airways trying to get a feel for Phoenix's future with American as a whole. Responses there are much more mixed and varied.

The reduction in lines can also be temporary. For example, Skywest fly all phx to sat in april, may and june. But Mesa picks it back up again in july.

Why not convert them all the 76 if they can get away will paying you less? If those spare 200s went away would captains still get paid 200 rates for vacation, sick and other types of soft pay?

I don't know why people mention this from time to time. No 79 seaters are being made to 76. The 79 seat airplanes were grandfathered from America west express. Scope limits new airplanes to 76, so any new airplanes have 76. Why the company spend money to/why would AA want us to have less capacity? The difference in pay is only like $4/hour.
