Some of the top guys in the union played down word of a new TA when I asked them about it. "Main points agreed upon" means "the easy, non-contentious stuff is agreed upon."
Anyone who has been through a long, drawn-out contract negotiation knows that--until sections on compensation and scheduling are closed and cleaned--you're not really "close to a TA" at all.
From my sources, the company isn't budging on scheduling--stuff like how they set buffers and criteria for swaps/drops/line enhancement. Until that section is closed, I'll be surprised if it's finished in my lifetime (sans some sort of pressure from our codeshare overlords).

Buddy of mine pointed out that the belkin iPad bracket has been discontinued. They do have a new replacement but it's not approved.

That's not what the top three people in the MEC have personally told me.

Because if we get mediation we grind to a halt. Nmb is so backed up we wouldn't get a mediator for months and everything would stop. Ask our flight attendants how mediation is going

Kidding but they do need to get a new bracket not mount approved. I'm sure we'll just get the clamp one United uses

Absolutely agree. This is one of my biggest complaints about the Ipad program at Mesa. I have said it before and ill say it again. I don't mind that I buy the Ipad because that makes it mine and allows me to do what I choose with it outside of work. On the other hand, if they require me to purchase an iPad with my money then they should do due diligence and have a mount that is approved that will accommodate a case. I can't tell you how many busted screens I have seen in the cockpit. On a side note to that as well, why would they seek approval for the gecko mount when the ram mounts were already the standard with mainline and military. Who can we talk to about pushing this issue up the ladder? I don't even know who runs the Ipad program as it is.
