Guys failing out of everything from FPT to the checkride then getting training review board and getting terminated, no choice to resign. A certain individual in management told a guy who did not fail a single written, or unsat a sim but his sim partner did was terminated for not working as a team. Even guys coming in for upgrades are being failed as well as aqp, recurrent and proficiency checks. These are the facts, and hope it helps someone.
When we need pilots? No way I believe that. I believe it about the upgrades that are failing, especially the crj to ejet guys. Learning to be a captain and learning a new plane, many of whom haven't had a training event in a long time. Good, we don't need bad captains out there in the left seat. If people don't prepare and can't fly within standards, they probably shouldn't pass at any airline.

I don't know about some secretive behind the scenes firing team out to get people, though. I saw some very questionable people make it through, some of whom eventually got let go after many extra sims or many IOE extensions.

For what reason? To thin the ranks?

I can't imagine Mesa is failing guys out of initial unless they're terrible pilots, or they have a serious attitude problem. That doesn't make sense. Captain upgrade is a different story. I always thought it kinda scary that guys are flying the line for a year or so on the CRJ and then upgrading on the 175. And most of those guys had never flown 121 before getting hired at Mesa. Not saying it can't be done, but that's biting off a whole lot.

This is flat out false. Who are you, anyway? Quite first post...

I don't know how. All you have to do is drool and breathe to get hired at Mesa.

Actually I passed new hire training a while back. Captain at IAd. I wrote this post because a buddy of mine was recently terminated that I recommended. I don't have to lie gents, I got mine. If you believe it or not I don't care, just stating what he told me and I saw on my proficiency check. True there are people getting to the line and I am like ??????????
So why did they cancel a bunch of sim time in KPHX before the fatal stabbing at airways training center?

Honestly it just sounds like you're butt hurt because your buddy didn't make it through training.

I like this guy. He's keeping this sh*t fresh. Thank you "World Travel." We needed this break from the normal school boy drivel.

I love the "fatal stabbing" addition. It does rather provide a nice timeline of events for the conspiracy.
