Mesa

How do you know it was the current Mesa class?
Maybe they were passing thru after coming back from dinner with ALPA?
Maybe they were off the next day?
Maybe they were upgrades?
Maybe class hasn't started yet and they don't know the rules.
Kinda a lame broad statement to make.

Food for thought, getting to mainline is getting harder an harder as regionals vote in concessions to fly larger aircraft. United is parking 757s, American is ordering 175s and more 900s, Delta is looking for carriers that fly 175s. Why??? Because we're cheap labor!!! You'll fly the same routes compared to mainline for 1/4 of the cost!! wake up, do some research. Retirements will spur hiring but hell, at this rate mainline can furlough their guys have them rehired and PSA or Mesa and staff those RJs that are flying ALL domestic flights. All while mainline focuses it's fleet on International flying. Get a clue
As long as mainline groups continue to take back scope your scenario is unlikely.

Your scenario ignores the fact that it's not the contracts that regional carriers sign with the pilots that determines where those airplanes go, it's the scope clauses within the contracts that the majors have their own pilot groups.

I'm not trying to get the trolls started here, it just seemed that this round of new hires were not the best to have which is unfortunate.

If you don't like it, you don't like it.
Back on topic, anyone think that some of the E175s that AA just ordered will go to Mesa out of CLT? Yes I know that AA's goal is to get them to Eagle, but if that fails, it fails. Obviously the deployment would probably be after the current E-Jets that Mesa is getting for UA have begun deployment.

I believe they come either Feb or April of 2014. As far as the first actual revenue flight, pretty sure that is TBA.

And you let them go without a good spanking and lecture on morality? You sir are part of the problem. Be sure to wear your white robe the next time you cast judgement on an entire group of professionals based on a "seems like" statement...just sayin.

Study till 7pm. Buzzed at 9pm, asleep by 10pm, 8 hours sleep then to class. Not near an aircraft the next day. What's wrong with that?
