CRJ vs EJET probably comes down to where you live vs where the bases are.

Reserve is all short call with some ready reserve (airport reserve). 12 hour shifts for short call (either morning or afternoon), 8 hours for ready. You cannot pick up trips on reserve. Expect about 3 months on reserve on the EJET.

Crashpads in Houston run around the $200 a month mark. Hotel rooms are around $50 a night.

EJET trips tend to be more efficient/productive than the CRJ, certainly the AA CRJs. Lots of 4 day trips hover around the 20 hour mark with some up to 24 hours. There are also 2-3 day trips and even some day trips still included in the mix. Mostly longer distance flying, but there are some short hops (SAT, AUS, MSY, DFW, MFE, MAF).

EJET training footprint in PHX is 1 week of indoc together with the CRJ. You then split off and do 3 weeks of systems, oral, then 4 days of Flight Procedures Training before heading to DFW (most likely) or YYZ (not so likely) for a couple of warm up sim sessions. After the warmups, you will get 8 sim sessions, a checkride and then LOFT. Once we start getting the new airplanes, we will probably see STL again for sim too.

There is no official home study program, but you will be doing a lot of off-hours studying.

Not much in the way of delays. Maybe a week between ground and sim and another week between sim and IOE if you're junior in class. Senior in class usually go straight through with only a couple of days in between segments.

3 months on reserve does not seem too bad, if we fly lots and don't need a hotel too much, is short call assigned a RAP where you know early enough if your early or late?
