My source at United SOC (and within Mesa--a person higher than your mechanics' tales) say otherwise.

United is loving the EJet/East Coast service in IAD--they want that to continue. They are more likely to do new-market Mexico flying with Skywest 700s, which makes sense since we're taking over longer-haul previously-Skywest 700 routes like IAH-ONT. Skywest 700s can easily compete with AA 900 service out of DFW on most Mexico markets large and small.

Also--it's averaging closer to 5 RON Ejets in IAD a night--not 2. It's not a big deal if there aren't any EJets "in the hangar." We regularly have service checks done in OKC and I believe IAD. They're new planes--they don't need a lot of touch-time or parts in IAH to keep flying.

Lastly, the next 15 EJets were originally Republic deliveries. United and Republic are still working out what they can't staff and what they can, but any regional attempting to stop the bleeding will obviously push hard to cut the most problematic portions of their schedule from the system first...Republic Q/Ejet east coast flying is the most likely candidate for replacement by an another operation.

My source says we'll have 700s or EJets in EWR by the end of 2016--I'm willing to put money on it. Maintenance always hears about these things after the fact--not before. You can ship parts on FedEx last-minute on a much tighter deadline than a crew for a 4-day

My sources say UAL is at max 700/175s at 255 and in order to add 175s they have to park 700s

A new TA on a 2 year extension has no scope relief either
So somehow 700s must go in order for 175s to show up

Or they have to order more narrow body aircraft to increase the 175s

So don't dream more growth , replacement of a/c from now on

Your upper management has been lying to you about growth

Please for the love of kale no more east coast flying. ORD or DEN would be nice. LAX/SFO even nicer but we all know Skyworst has a death grip on United's west coast regional feed.

I just don't get why Mesa can't solidify domiciles like other regionals have done.

Scope relief was achieved with the Q400 retirements and the Skywest 700s coming offline. Plus if United adds the new 100 seat jets like they are talking about, they can add up to 70 more 76 seaters....

I'm honestly blown away you think any of those are a good source of information.

Its been mentioned before but SkyWest's 700s ARE NOT coming offline.

You might ask, Why aren't they?

Shorts answer would be "Republic".
