ENDEAVOR AIR MEC REACHES MUTUAL BENEFIT PACKAGE TENTATIVE AGREEMENT
The Endeavor MEC kicked off a series of road shows this week to discuss the Mutual Benefit Package that the MEC and company negotiated over the past several months. The agreement recaptures some of the pay and benefits lost during concessionary negotiations when the company was in bankruptcy. Key improvements in the agreement include restoration of 150 percent premium pay for all open time, 100 percent deadhead pay, increase in vacation pay from 2.5 hours per day to 3.5 hours per day, improved early release provisions for reserves, ability for pilots to convert an end of trip deadhead to domicile to a deadhead home, and an increase in pilot retention payments.
In exchange, pilots would report 15 minutes earlier in outstations, and the company would have the ability to withhold a limited number of pairings from bidding to accomplish OE flying. The company would also increase first year first officer wages and offer a completion of training bonus to new pilots in order to ensure the staffing necessary to support the growth plan upon which the package is based.
That is $23000 in bonus pay, plus an increase in first year pay. 4 HR min day, pathway to Delta, good reserve rules, better travel rules. This is all starting to look a lot more attractive the quick upgrades.
