1) The performance of the individual pilots being evaluated and
2) The assessment of that performance by the instructor
Given my experience with Mesa's training department/instructors, I'd say if you're hearing about failures, it's people who should be failing, and not some rogue instructor out to get people.

There are two components to training failure rates:
1) The performance of the individual pilots being evaluated and
2) The assessment of that performance by the instructor
Given my experience with Mesa's training department/instructors, I'd say if you're hearing about failures, it's people who should be failing, and not some rogue instructor out to get people.

I predict it will contain words and numbers, and have a white background. I've heard rumors it is typed in the Arial font, but there is a heated internal debate about going with something a bit more whimsical--I'm rooting for a bold Helvetica.

I have heard of a couple crj Fo to Ejet capt upgrades failing out. It has nothing to do with the instructors. Two reasons someone would fail. First time capt and new to the Ejet. Learning a new plane makes it twice the workload.... Or they are not ready to be a capt in the first place.
