Apologize for my wry sense of humor. I was told that Mesa has next to no MX at DFW. The slightest issue can easily mushroom out of control. Surely, The agreement with AAG has MX with the airplanes, no ?

I believe they are working on that issue but it is not an overnight fix....but yes, it is something they are working with AA on.

Executive Summary of the new TA is out, check your email from the MEC.
Nice improvements for people on reserve, the rest of it is underwhelming.

MEC unanimously passed TA on for ratification by pilot group. Executive summary is out, but not enough detail in it to really form an opinion. I will need to see the actual language.

Most of the gains seem to be concentrated in the RSV section.

5 Years. I don't think so. It looks horrible. Voting NO!

I appreciate the work by the negotiating committee, but besides the reserve section, the improvements are a slap in the face to the pilot group as a whole. Also, 5 years in this environment.... smh

From the summary, I feel like I wouldn't even notice the difference if this contract were voted in.

5 years, no mention of medical improvements, marginal pay raises still far below industry standard. Better work rules? Oh cool. Better than what we have, but still well below what the market rates are even without looking at actual numbers. Guessing it won't pass. But we will see.
I still find it curious that the reason the union says we can't get more is because of razor thin margins that all regionals are facing. Those same regionals still manage to pay their pilots more than JO and they are able to still grow and gain contracts. What gives?
Oh and the "SKW stock price is cratering," which is the union's example of how other regionals are hurting that they've used on two conference calls, is at a 5 year high.

They were able to lock in a 5% raise at the end if the company extends the contract by a year. I'm actually impressed they were able to get that in there. The pay rates are ho hum. I need to see the new scheduling language to really make up my mind.
