A Military Poser in the ALPA Magazine?

Should his application mention employment at ACA/IDE he's probably toast. I can't find any evidence of him ever being a line pilot or furloughee from ACA, and I've looked on 4 different seniority lists from 2004 and 2005.
I could see how a pilot might have tried to take advantage of the insolvancy of the company since it would have become more difficult to verify that one actually worked there. This would have been particularly true in 2006 when the company no longer had any employees doing PRIA paperwork for former ACA/IDE pilots.
It does tork me off that somebody would potentially use the misfortune of over 1600 pilots to their own personal benefit.

“His shoes were shined and his uniform and personal appearance were sharp,” Nicoll continues. “He looked like a real professional pilot. There was something about the way he carried himself that made him stand out from the other pilots.
It doesn't matter how shiny your shoes are...
if you forget to shave and if you can see your T-shirt above your tie you're not doing it right.

That's WAY out of date.
Prefill Information Page (ERDS)
Click "Search for Organization"
Choose ALPA under "Union Name"
Click Submit
Go all the way to the very last query hit, and click it
Then click "2008 report" (the very top query hit)
Jan Steenblik made $140,269 in 2008.
I wonder what percentage of ALPA members made that much in 2008...

I was reading this story yesterday in my "reading Lounge". As I sat there, I thought wow, I am a loser. This guy is Jesus. Then I thought, how can he do all that? I guess he can't. Got this from ALPA today and I feel like a winner again, well sort of.

While that is quite a bit of moolah for an editor of the monthly rag to be making, it really isn't their responsibility to fact check on every pilot who says they came from a mil background or are a guard bum..or whatever it may be.
Imagine every pilot that is featured on there that says they have a military background. Should we require them all to show their paperwork to prove their background before interviewing or an article?
This guy had developed a reputation at Eagle, and the LEC or MEC should have nipped it in the bud when they saw his name come up. Those are his peers who would know about someone like this. I just can't lay too much blame on the editor unless they failed to respond to this public outcry.
The guy next month actually is a Colgan guy- with a legit background, haha. Too bad this yahoo had to ruin the honor.

I just updated my Martinsbook page to reflect the 2700 hours I now have in my Martins-Lockheed F35.
