Maybe its different now that's why I wanted the poster to clarify. Earlier this year at least a phone call was HR only and a video call had some basic technical questions in it similar to a regional interview. like brief a plate etc.
If you haven't already I really recommend aviation interviews website.

Wasn’t exactly hard to find, not sure where you wound up, sounds like maybe the EJM job postings?

I’ve been doing a lot of reading and I think NetJets may be my end goal. What’s the current time frame looking like from application-interview-CJO-Indoc? Does everyone go through a 3 day hiring expo or do they hire outside of that? My ATP/CTP is scheduled for next week; should I be applying now or waiting until I’m finished with the written? Trying to figure out the best way to time things without burning a bridge at my current employer if things happen to work out. Hate to leave right after they pay for a recurrent. Thanks for all the info! PS…and don’t say go to the airlines- I fly for fun, getting paid is a bonus!

As far as other employers I try to do right by everyone, but an employer will not hesitate to layoff a pilot when they’re no longer needed, and it’s happened to many of us on more than one occasion. Many of us from the NJ “team” or “family” were cast aside for 5 years. So with that said don’t put off a good opportunity because you feel bad an employer paid for a recurrent. As they tell us, “it’s just business.”
You can find all the NJ vs airline debate on here, but if this is the type of flying you like go for it. But this type of flying is work and requires skills beyond the typical airline pilot. While enjoyable some days, It is definitely not a fly for fun job, you will routinely work 12-14 hour days with 11-12 hours off. As with any profession, if you come show up with a mindset of a professional seeking to be paid accordingly.

Not sure the current time frame for everything, perhaps a recent hire could chime in. I wouldn’t apply until you have exactly what is required on the website. Things may have changed but it was once viewed as wasting HR’s time if you’re not qualified

Got one….need to be able to afford the fuel to put in it. Didn’t mean to apply that I’d fly for free…just that I already know the legacy captains get paid more and I don’t think I’d care for that type of flying.
