We need everyone angry and if it starts with the hotels or food and bleeds into buying tickets to PHX, PBI, and now OMA for pickets, that is great. We need everyone on board to get the big salary boost. I would prefer more money and accept the occasional not great hotel, but I won't accept a place I can't sleep in. That is very rare. I'll just bang in fatigued or refuse dumps that I won't get adequate rest in over giving up pay for hotels. The outrage has actually improved a bunch of key markets without having to give up anything.

I know guys that are furious because we switched to the Homewood from the Renaissance. If that's the hill you want to die on, knock your socks off. Personally, I'd rather be financially comfortable and stay at the Homeboy than be a broke a$$ F.O. at the Renaissance.
And that mindset right there is why the pilot group won't achieve what they deserve.

We'll see what they achieve soon enough. Regardless, I'm sure you'll come on here and say they could have got more. it's interesting that the guy that posts the most on here doesn't even work here, and hasn't for years.

Yeah I don’t understand the fascination with his posting here. I know he will say it’s a free forum and all. I may go and look at my previous employers threads but I don’t feel the need to go and tell them how they are sucking and how I have it better now that I am at my new place of employment but that’s just me.

Nah, the strange individual is one who will happily accept crappy QOL in exchange for pay. You also seem to lack a basic understand of how public forums work, THAT is strange.

Whatever NJASAP and the pilot group achieves, it won't be from the efforts of people like you who suggest they take crappier hotels and status quo crew meals as long as they get a little bit more money. Management reads stuff like this and when pilots openly and willingly suggest concessions on a forum, it undermines union efforts and the efforts of your co-workers.

You should want top pay, better crew meals, fantastic hotels, more quality time off, better on the road QOL and much much much more. You should also be thankful that former employees pay attention to NJA and are willing to walk with you holding a picket sign to help you get what you deserve. But you're not, you will continue you be butthurt that a former employee posts on a public forum and comment on it because you can't see the forest through the trees.

I swear, the self destructive nature that certain NJA pilots display, never ceases to amaze me.

No-one is "accepting" crappy hotels. Since the post covid travel boom, the Renaissance in Vegas decided that it's more profitable to sell rooms to tourists and convention attendees than to reserve rooms for NetJets, so they didn't renew our contact.

If you worked here you would have known that, but you don't, so you didn't.

And yet it is still the number 1 for crews flying into VGT. Which would imply that the company has a contract for those stays....

I'll devote some time while walking on Sunday to pondering that and many other NJ conundrums.

That's a fair point. My argument is that perspective new hires don't ask if we stay at the Renaissance or the Homewood, they ask how much they're going to earn compared to the regionals.
Of course the hotel and crew meal issues need attention, but from a triage perspective, compensation has to take priority if we want to continue to grow this company.
