NetJets Hiring Process
#1321
No-one is "accepting" crappy hotels. Since the post covid travel boom, the Renaissance in Vegas decided that it's more profitable to sell rooms to tourists and convention attendees than to reserve rooms for NetJets, so they didn't renew our contact.
If you worked here you would have known that, but you don't, so you didn't.

Companies that block hotel rooms send bids out, and those bids are either ignored, countered, or accepted. The Renaissance didn't want to accept what NJA was paying. It is ALWAYS about money, and they easily would have accepted had NJA paid. It has nothing to do with tourists. We had stayed there years before COVID, had you worked there before COVID, you'd know that.
And you are literally willing to accept crappy hotels for a pay raise, you said so yourself. I am sure management has already read it, hopefully the union does too and teaches you what not to say on a public forum.

You don't know how the internet works, how forums work, how contract negotiations work, and how hotel bidding works apparently. Please keep posting so we can add to this list...

You must be either a management troll or the biggest a** kisser at NJ. Not a single person says things are great as you paint it, heck even JL is probably complaining. But you always manage to portray 🎈 and 🐴. You have 15-20 year guys leaving, in what fantasy world do you think that is normal? You must have come from a real low, bottom of barrel type job

I think you're probably the poster child of what not to post on a public forum. Youve even created alternate identities to have a discussion with yourself. For the love of god go away. You havent been at NJ in years. Correct? People would like actual current conditions and information which you have none of.

No, I just don't know how your brain works. You keep stalking these forums hoping and praying for any negative information about your previous employer so you can gloat and ridicule. It's sad, its pathetic and its extremely irritating. You're the forum mosquito buzzing around with no purpose but to annoy everyone. For gos sake get a girlfriend, a boyfriend, a life!

What a ridiculous statement. Maybe if you're sitting pretty on the higher end of the PIC payscale you can focus your attention on meals and hotels, but if you're a year 1 or 2 F.O. you worry more about how you're going to pay your mortgage and provide for your family over whether you're staying in a Marriott vs Hilton property. That by default doesn't make you a kiss a$$.

Sad and pathetic is being publicly willing to accept less than your peers, for a potential pay raise, which is why its easy to conclude you are either management, or inept...

I have never gloated or felt the need to gloat. You can't find evidence of that because it doesn't exist. I don't think I am better because of where I work because I don't identify myself by my job like you do. I have said it before and I will say it again, you identify yourself by NJA which is why it rocks your constitution to its core when anyone says anything remotely realistic about the issues. Speaking of issues, the issues you face now are issues that have faced NJA for over a decade. The sad reality is that I am willing to lift more fingers than you to try and help the pilot group fix those issues. I think C2078 is right, you are either management or staying on your knees in hopes it gets you a slot in management in the future, it's pretty evident at this point.

There is a very small group being very vocal about some primary hotel changes in a couple markets. I believe that is what he is saying about the hill you die on. We don’t operate like an airline so we can not secure hotels the same way a scheduled airline does. We are not accepting less than our peers and giving up for a potential pay raise.

You first need to understand something. And that is that those PICs waited 13 to 15 years to get that PIC slot that you’re jealous of. And they did it at $27,104 their first year. They fought the NJA management several times over, and saw the worst that an aviation management can offer. I’m talking Lorenzo League stuff here. They know this subject and the signs of what is coming a lot better than you. You barely have your feet wet in the NJA management gamery.
Once the afterglow of being hired is over for you, you will see. They start small and then go big.
You’re supposed to be at the pinnacle of the fractionals. The owners get the best of everything so should you be rested, fed and paid at a level commensurate your responsibilities and expected service level to provide that? Look at it like this:
Go to Walmart, buy something and pay for it. Note the entire experience, especially that of the employees. How they present themselves. Do they look happy at work? Are they smiling and pleasant? Now go buy something at a high end department store. Take note of the same things you did at Walmart. Think how the employees pay, lifestyle, where and how they slept, etc and if you can’t see the point…you’re hopeless.
