Close though.

US AIr furloughed 25% before it was all said and done....

Much deeper for a 6000 pilot group.

50,000 after 9/11 industry wide... NJA never hired so many as it did after 9/11.

But that goes back too far for Millennial Memories.
And NetJets will never hire that many again.

What's worse, a millennial who as you say, cannot remember, or an adult who cant see the forest through the trees?

You don't think so?

Firstly, in aviation... never say never.

Nothing stays the same.

Ever... for richer or for poorer.

And if they furloughed the same percentage today, the DOH cutoff would be even further back than the cutoff in 2010. Just something for newhires to consider.

I'm not sure that will work long term but good luck. Sometimes, when you debate, you need a history of experience with the topic, a background of relevance and... a track record.

I hope what happened to many of us never knocks at your door.

It's not a happy time.

You assume that I don't know what happened historically and you do that to everyone, it devalues reality to fit your agenda. You are not all seeing nor all knowing. NetJets isn't immune to anything you've previously experienced, and if they can't grow right now, the next downturn is gonna devastate the company. But please continue to elaborate on how NetJets is somehow different from the airline industry...

It would hit 2007.

And I am going to a company that has never furloughed, bought by a company that has also never furloughed, and even then I am nervous about being furloughed.

It is just amazing to watch those beaten by this industry picking and choosing bits and pieces of reality to sleep at night.

No. You don't know history if you haven't lived it. You heard about it. That's not a frame of reference.

I don't need to go on and explain... The right moves are being made with fleet modernization and service offerings. Profits have occurred... and NJ is still restructuring. It's really an amazing process to watch. And exciting.

How's class? Good digs?

West coast base... no commute... wait... you had that?!?!

NetJets... flying random and whatever. I got tired of LAX and PHX for months at a time at Brand X... as nice as Culver City was...

Ok, I see what you're saying. I suppose at a regional that is true. However, my flying now is as random and varied as NetJets was but obviously with less destinations. We serve 61 airports and I haven't been to them all in two years. The flying varies every month and every trip. I have yet to see the monotonous boredom that NJA guys warned about. Which I found funny as we wore the pavement out at TEB, HPN, PBI, MDW, and SJT.

Dude,

Unless you were in a large cabin jet, there's no way you wore the pavement out anywhere repeatedly... and the LCs don't fly that often with a very predictable schedule.

What were you on?

I had hundreds of pairings to new airports last year... many airports for the first time.
