AND that 7/7 schedule may not be available to you. After training, it is up to them if you get the 7/7 until the next October. They love that crew "choice" schedule...18-20 workdays a month. You may get 6/3/6/3/6/3 and spend the first day and a half of each of those glorious 3 days off spent face down asleep the way we work. And if you are a west coast pilot, God help you on the 0300 east coast shows...to your body, that's waking up at 11 pm to start a nice 12 hour work day. Best part? They simply do not care to schedule away from this.

The difference between this year and last is that "the bench" is empty. I believe over a 100 guys that were doing "projects" are now back flying the line. That offset some of the guys that quit. Management doesn't have that card to play again so I think they will be forced to actually hire 150 this year. I don't see attrition slowing and the pilots are already operating at 100%.

Well if they want 100-150, they are gonna need more than 5 a class. Only getting 5 should be sending a tidal wave through HR and management, to get 100 people to show up they will have to massive interviewing.

You can get these numbers off of duty summary reports and the number of people on projects was closer to 30. The cc 76 and +/- 2 are allowing them to do way more with less.

A newhire would be able to bid and hold a 7/7 line on the first schedule bid after their checkride. Not necessarily "the next October". It is up to the company whether they will award a pilot released from IOE outside of a bid, as of late they have not been.
That being said, this place is a dumpster fire at the moment and is having gas thrown on it. Labor/mgmt relations are bad and trending worse. No clue what the end game is here, but it isn't sustainable.

Once upon a time before the current contract, a long Long time ago, I applied to work at Net Jets as a pilot, and was offered a position, but did not accept the offer. I have heard that if one were to reapply, after turning NJA down, that person would not be considered.
Retirement is coming in September, Part 121, and I would still like to work. Would I be considered as a pilot candidate??
