We lost 122 in 2017 with an almost 50/50 split pic/sic though the sic was extremely skewed towards guys who had been hired in the last few years. The company doesn’t care despite the latest email. We will just keep getting the good guys from all the crappy 135 operators.

Sorry, you're right. How about averaging 10 pilots/month attrition. Leaving to the airlines or not, pilots are leaving NetJets.

I heard NetJets is looking to recruit pilots from Flexjet and some of their other competitors?

Any truth to the rumor?

I can’t confirm or deny that rumor. I won’t be a company cheerleader of bash them either. Just the facts.

NetJets has had one class per month, <10 in January and about 20 in February. They say they will have another class in March and want to hire 100+ this year. This is all subject to change at a moments notice. With that being said if a pilot from FlexJet, TMC, XOJet.... were to apply, my opinion is they would get eyes on their paperwork.

Yea it’s not so much what they do want, it’s what they don’t want. If you have prior 121 or are current 121 looking to go to NJA. Don’t bother, I bet they won’t entertain your resume.

Again, I can give you what I have heard first hand. They said that is was a mistake not hiring people with 121 backgrounds. Does that change things going forward, time will tell. At this point nothing surprises me. As many have said for a long time, they need a lot of people yesterday.

Glad they changed that. They missed out on some great applicants with that mentality.

I agree. You should hire quality applicants from all flying backgrounds.

A senior manager said something like that to a recurrent ground school class, but he may not have been serious. Would make sense thou with the pilot shortage.

This manager also said any NJA pilot who recommends someone, that someone goes to the top of the stack. So if you really, really, want to work at NetJets and know a pilot there ask them for help. FYI the Union is discouraging helping the company out like this thou, they would prefer NJA having to improve quality of life to attract more pilots.

Amen! Funny we here at Spirit now have new hire classes full of NJA guys now. It's running 2.5 years to the left seat. With our new contract you're at ~$200/hr plus the DC and LTD. I only work 4 on and 5/6 off. 7 and 7 sucks! Plus I don't have to load bags and kiss ass of some schmuck that won't belly up and purchase his own jet! Best part of working at NJA was watching the quarter share owner take all the catering/stock off the Falcon in a garbage bag. Classy! The junior NJA guys are smart to bail out and find a better job with vertical movement.
