it’s not anecdotal, all the people I know who went through it took 4+ years to check all the boxes. Keep your nose clean too.

PIC Minimums are firm based on FAR 135.243(c).
SIC Minimums are what the company desires but could change based on supply/demand of pilots.

The first intern to complete and return to UPS is leaving AMF in the next week. He was here just shy of 4 years.

The earliest to come here in the program will probably have a class date in the next month or so and has been with us right at 4 years this month.

YMMV when it comes to this. Interns that leave UPS with 500 hours will take a while to check the boxes. Interns that leave with captains mins may be able to shorten this timeline. One of the big hurdles (though not the only one) is getting out of the right seat. Eliminate that and you're well on your way.

Thanks, I wasn't seeing it when I went through other posts.

It did. However, there are still a couple of runs out of Seattle but there is no actual base there anymore. More like an out station than a base.

Can anyone comment on what the metro charter life is like.. schedules/flying/QOL/overtime pay/etc? Seems like an amazing job but not much info that I could find compared to the scheduled runs. Thanks!

2nd hand info it’s a busy department which means they run you ragged, push duty day & flight time limits all week on minimum rest. Could be true; could be BS. But that’s all I got, take that info with a grain of salt.
