Yeah that could well be. The visa statistics are available online, the only airline that sponsors visas by larger numbers is Skywest. The problem with the non-Aussie visas is that there is only a limited amount available every year, and they run out usually within the first third of the year. So you have to have your timing right to actually get one, even if the company is willing to sponsor it for you.

What is the timeline for training these days at Cape Air?

How long in ground, did you do home study 1st? If so how long did you have for that and how long did it take? What is the total time for training that you were told to expect?

Do you know when the next ground school starts, and how often they schedule a ground school?

Thanks

I can't confirm this, but I saw this information posted by someone else...

The way it’s broken down is if you come with 500-800 hours it’s a 18 month contract as a captain. 800-1200 hours is 15 months. 1200+ hours is 12 months.

I believe this starts after you upgrade to captain and that you are eligible to upgrade once you hit 1200 hours.

I have been trying to confirm this, but have not had any luck yet.

There are two upgrades, one to PIC at 1200 (plus the other requirements) where you can do stuff like fly the mail.

Captains require a full ATP at 1500TT. That is when your contract starts.

How long on average does it take people to go from 500 to 1500 hours at Cape?
