BOS is not likely for a new FO, at least not right now.

As for the commute, depends on where you’re coming from. You’d have to look up what type of volume there is between where you live and the hub you fly in and out of.

Of course we are talking about a weekly, not a daily commute.

Thanks for the response. I’m in the RDU area.

Is Montana still relatively attainable as a new hire FO?

Hey guys,

I'm fairly new here and I will start at cape air next year.

So I've been reading around and found some great answers.

But is there any junior captain recently hired on the forum that can enlighten me on what bases did you get? I don't mind a base where it's easy to commute from Orlando, Florida.

Any suggestions or advices?

Nicholas

Default EWB and AUG

Is it likely a new hire FO will get EWB or AUG?

No FOs in EWB.

There are two classes of FOs in training right now, so it’s nearly impossible to speculate about base availability.

For example, I was told that BIL was super easy to get, but no one in the new hire class was awarded it in the summer system bid. But due to upgrades since that bid, new hires are getting it again.

Any captain at cape air on the forum who can talk about how some of them can reach 78K a year? since it's 120hrs max a month, how do they hit 120hrs and still get overtime or extra shift?

Default New England FO Bases

Which of the Northeast region bases are ones that new-hire FOs can be based out of?
