Why do you want to go from Republic to Cape?

Cape Air doesn’t fly jets and crunching numbers in a FMS is about a 180 degree heading change from hand flying single pilot IFR in a 402. More than a hand full of RJ FO’s have struggled in training. I would recommend highlighting your PIC experience prior to RAH.

Check your PM's. And read below.

The secret is, well, there's not much of a secret. Just make sure you send an email with your resume and application to the recruiters email address. It doesn't hurt to follow up every now and then via email, but if you have ATP minimums, and you pass their pre-screening (background check), they will call you, don't worry. There are only two people, both of whom are First Officer interns, so it may take a little time, but they will get back to you. As for how I know all of this, one of the recruiters is sitting right next to me...

Had been calling the two recruiters often, but they never answer or call back.
See my previous post.

I've got 2K TT and have filled out the app and sent a resume 5 or 6 times over the past year or so. Patience is the key, I guess. Thanks for the info.

Hi,

First of all I'm new on the forums and I'm not from the US.
I've been following Cape Air history since long time ago. To be honest I'm a great fan of the airline. Everytime I go to Boston on a layover one the things that I enjoy is go to terminal C get a coffee an spend some time watching the movement around Cape Air C402s. After reading the threads I have the felling that you guys and gals are quite happy with the flying and working conditions. If this is so, then well done Cape Air. Maybe you could borrow Dan Wolf for a while to some European airlines .
By the way, I saw on a interview with Cape Air boss that the entire fleet of C402s will be refurbished in the near future. That means that they will change the interiors and upgrade the avonics or only a major check on the airframes? One more curiosity, when operating with a crew of two pilots, how is the procedures done, do you work as PF and PNF like any other airline? Maybe its a silly question but I have that doubt since you are a single pilot approved company.

Sorry if my post have nothing to do with your discussions.

Safe flights
Mike

Hi Mike,

To make a long story short, the 402s will likely be around for quite some time. Talk about replacements has been around for some years now but from what I understand it hasn't been easy finding a suitable replacement. We take care of the 402s and keep them in good shape in the meantime.

We do have some FOs, and when we do fly as a two-pilot crew we operate very similar to other multi-crew cockpits (PF and PNF), at least from what I have experienced in the past. The FO position is mainly for time building, but there are also certain situations in which they are required.

Glad you enjoy the show in BOS! Come say hi next time, we're generally a pretty happy bunch.
