Define "getting based?" It will likely take years before you are truly based anywhere. Plan on moving often (at least twice a year) to "chase the sun" which really means "chase the tourists." You will either love it or hare it. It can be tons of fun if your the nomadic type.

So whats the deal are they hiring for FO's anymore or not? I can see both sides of the spectrum as to why they would and wouldn't.

What about Mayaguez? What's the schedule like for the pilots based there?

If I remember correctly, the Ponce and MAZ guys are lifers - you need someone to die before you get in there.

And they're young.

No overnights unless your plane breaks...unless something has changed (which I doubt).
