Thanks for the advice. I'll contact the recruiter and ask. I just wanted to make sure I wasn't overlooking something obvious. Good luck with the interview reggie! Let us know how it goes.

Thanks for the luck, Gunner!

The interview consisted of mostly HR questions. The only technical stuff I was asked were in regards to MELs and what's a turbocharger. It lasted about 30-40 mins for me; the two who went before had longer interviews, maybe because they're going for CAs and I only qualify as an FO.

I interviewed last December and went through initial training in February. My interview was mostly HR based and technical questions were about turbochargers, engine out procedures for a light twin, types of icing I had flown in. It was a very laid back and friendly atmosphere. If anyone has any questions feel free to PM me! So far, I've really enjoyed my time here!

How long after the interview do you get the thumbs up/down? And what are the chances that a new FO could get STL?

I heard about a week after my interview.

I'd guess you'd have an easy time getting STL as an FO, there is only 1 FO out here right now and they like to keep guys out here cause its usually pretty junior and they need guys for high mins captains.

I could be wrong on that though since most junior people are going to the Caribbean now since our wonderful union helped them take 15% pay cut.

How many flight and duty hours does a 402 CA average on a weekly/monthly basis?

Typically, how many days off does one have off per week?

I can only speak for the Northeast operations. But flight and duty times vary widely. Most of the EAS outstations like RUT, LEB, SLK, etc work long days and get a lot of flight time in. Most outstations have at least 45 hours of duty per week. The Cape schedules (HYA, EWB, ACK, etc) tend to be mostly 40 hour min lines, with less flight time. For example, when I was based at one of the EAS outstations, I was getting paid 52 hours a week and logging 85-95 hours of flight time a month. When I was based down on the Cape, I was only working about 30 hours, getting the 40 hour min, and logging 35-45 hours a month.

As far as days off, you'll almost definitely get 3 days off a week. The 5 on 2 off lines are mostly gone if not entirely gone. One of many things the union was able to accomplish, despite what some broken records may say...

Does anyone know if there is a way to get a copy of the application for pilot jobs?
