Default Is there any hiring happening?

I was wondering if there any current pilot that know if they are currenty working on hiring more FO for the upcoming months. I am hoping to get a call for an interview and be selected for the FO position. What the likey chance of getting the PDX spot as a FO or are the pilots there very staff up on the base?

Thanks

Just saw that FOs will no longer be flying and will be only PIC with AP? Any truth to it or is the company slowly dying a Great Lakes death?

Heard this from someone I know who used to work there (who likely heard it from a current employee). His guess was that it's a desperate attempt to save money

Seems unlikely- if for no other reason than Boutique would never be able to hire street captains in sufficient numbers to make that scheme work.

Apparently its true. Word on the street is the FAA pulled their opspec for FO in lieu of autopilot. Apparently all FOs on a trip had to go sit in back. This would be the death rattle for BTQ. Good riddance.

if they are going to single pilot ops and getting rid of first officers. Why do they still have employment listings for the pc-12 first officer up on their main page for employment? Wouldn’t it be best to pull that position before you change the ops spec.

Not exactly how its works. Two pilots are always required for pax IFR 135. In the simplest terms, A015 allows for the operation of a pax IFR 135 flight using an autopilot in lieu of an SIC. Does/did Boutique have a PDP, A062? That could be the issue if they have also been issued A015.

No, you can still fly single pilot pax IFR 135 if you have a working autopilot. We did it at at least two previous airlines I worked at. Unless both were in serious violation and the FAA turned a blind eye after going after one company so hard it went bankrupt seems to tell me single pilot ops is ok under 135.
