The August Vacancy hasn’t been posted yet, but it sounds like a massive amount of ppl leaving the 80 for other equipment. absolutely will fill up the school house. Think there is only 300 pilots on the 190 so that hit won’t be as bad as this big displacement bid about to drop. They are at max training volume for the summer rush.
Is the other sim in clt helping the training backlog or is it still being throttled by lack of man power?

I think the talk of merger is grasping for straws of hope that PDT will be improved. But ENY isn’t that much better. Weren’t they in danger of losing 175s to PDT last year? Did anyone attend that ‘emergency meeting’ in DC?
The higher ups know a merge will cause way more issues than it will fix.
The only fix now is to give massive raises like 9E did and now has so many pounding at their doors, they had to stop (or chose their pick of the litter) hiring for a while.
While massive raises won’t fix the ‘dumpster fire’ that is PDT and ENY, (to change analogies) or make them NFL athletes or heck, HS varsity team, it will at least stop the massive hemorrhaging so they can at least spectate these events and not be bed ridden or comatose.
The way the ‘massive’ raises (massive being a relative term, still laughably low to any non-regional) will help is PDT, is it will stop the warning of people to not come, more pilots will come, and we’ll probably start getting more planes again when they see we can grow.
PDT won’t be fixed by any means, but at least we will be getting paid decent enough to be able to endure it and be able to in good conscience refer people to PDT again. It worked (recruiting more) in 2016 when we got decent raises, why not again?
Parker tells PDT management to begin a new TA (but do it right this time) starting with E9 pay rates, and then allowing us to make SLIGHT pay concessions from that E9 number for QOL adjustments. THAT is the only way to stop the hemorrhaging.

I agree. I even said PDT isn’t fixable.
What I did say was that, those type changes would slow if not stop the hemorrhaging of pilots and potentially lead to more growth. Perhaps a doubling in size like 2016-2018 showed from the 2016 raise.
If we got near E9 pay, and a few QOL issues changed. They could even become less efficient with 10-hour 4-days, but I would be greatly recommending people to come here.
A 5 year flow is needed to keep people here with the worst pay and QOL among the regionals.A 10 year flow still would be tolerable for E9 pay and slight QOL increases. They have no flow at all, but decent enough pay to stay there while building a resume (to still try and get out). Those with a 10 year flow need enough pay to compensate them for their having to endure here, or they will (smartly) up and leave, as they have been doing.
Living a decent life, having a flow to know it will get better, but living descent enough to survive the time here.
As Flow time increases, pay needs to increase linearly for it to be effective.
It’s sad they didn’t know this, or they did know this and are just squeezing out every last drop before they HAVE to increase pay. Not sure which...or which is worse...

To accept anything less than market rates (should be an increase given E9’s raise was over 12 months ago) would be a dumb move.
