Any word on how negotiations are doing? Any word on what’s being discussed? Just curious since it’s been pretty hush hush...

Is PDT wanting to match Envoy larger RJ pay or small RJ pay??

If the PDT pilot group strives for anything less than EDV rates then there’s something wrong with you.

Agreed, and the Envoys and PSAs should be rooting for us, because whatever one group gets the others seem to follow shortly thereafter.

Agreed.

But we also have quite arguably the dumbest pilot group out there. The questions that get asked on a daily basis that could be solved by, ya know, taking even a quick look at our contract is astonishing. The answers to most questions are so simple that you don't even have to look at the contract. It's cringe-worthy. Even worse, these horribly uninformed people will be voting on a TA. Good Luck

Go fly for SKW. They don't have any dumb pilots and def don't ask any dumb questions over there.

I can't recall, were pay rates a part of the survey we took late last year?

We have a lot of new, young, inexperienced to 121 operations and contract/union work pilots. Broadly painting them all as 'dumb' is a bit much.

Had the last sentence here typed up before I deleted what made too much sense. I can't agree more here. High turnover rate industry wide. When I was new, I was clueless as to how things worked because I WASN'T TAUGHT IT. There's no contract familiarization class, you're thrown into the fire. Thankfully guys are asking questions to figure it out. Contracts are complex, point them in the right direction and get them familiar with it.

I always thought a contract flow chart would be great. For like extensions junior mans etc. but yes no one teaches the contract. Only a creepy dinner for new hires

Exactly, the experienced pilots need to be teaching the new ones on the line since there is no other training. At the same time, each pilot has a responsibility to learn the contract that controls them.
