If half of the things on EL or TA are true, I don't think that many pilots at Envoy would agree with you. Seems like Envoy has a pretty toxic environment and a terrible quality of life.

I'm in the same boat as you being a DFW guy. I'm leaning toward PSA, and I'm an avid anti-commuter. I used to commute from DFW-IAH a few years ago and I swore that I'd never do it again. Why? The lines I typically had were 4 days on 2 days off which means if I missed a commute on the last day I only have about a day and a half off before my next 4 day adventure. At the time it was all weight restricted 145's and 135's. Screw that. I ended up renting a car half the time simply to get home.

Envoy has similar schedules to Mesa. Low productivity trips, and to me it doesn't matter if I live 5 mins from DFW it still sucks if I only have 12 days off. Gone is Gone.

If you were to commute to DCA you'd have 9 direct flights a day on 5 737 and 4 Airbuses with two jumpseats with AA non rev bennies and jumpseat rules. If you were to go the CLT route you'd have 10 direct flights on almost exclusively A320's.

Combine that with being able to SAP down to 15-18 days off a month makes it a worthwhile bitter pill to swallow if you don't want to go the Envoy route.

Just food for thought.

I'm def not looking forward to commuting. My other concern is the loads between DFW, CLT, and DCA. I'm almost not totally against moving. Just trying to see what everyone thinks.

CommutAir, new hires with the time are getting CA in new hire class, those with no 121 time are getting CA upgrade as soon as they get their 1000 SIC. Nice signing bonus too.

You would get more time off commuting to an airline with a good schedule than being in base with a company with terrible schedules.

Schedule flexibility is gold to commuters.

Hahahahaha haha haha. Good troll.

That's all you need to know to make a decision. Or better yet if you want you can go to TSA and gather intel. Come back and let us know how much you want to go anywhere else that's not TSA, GoJet or Mesa.

TSA's sister airline, GoJet is a great place.

What's a PSA guy doing spending times on envoy forums?

And while things aren't perfect at envoy, everyone on EL and TA have always been and always will be negative. It's probably the same 4 or 5 people posting the same BS. Tough to judge what an airline really is like from a web forum.

Troll? Not sure why you would think that. Did I offend you with my flow prediction? Ten years ago regionals were furloughing pilots left and right, now they offer flow. I'm not depending on flow because you never know what another 10 years will bring. I'm honestly looking for pros and cons between TSA and PSA. If you have no positive imput than maybe you should go troll other threads.
