I agree, but I also think if the company really cared that much about on time departures they would have changed that method years ago. I’ve heard making this change will cost several million dollars a year between pilot and FA wages.

These changes all have their own implementation dates, and at the bottom of the agreement it says something along the lines of “dates can change if mutually agreed upon”. The reserve rules were supposed to be here over a year ago and who knows when those are coming. Since this particular change doesn’t benefit the company I wouldn’t surprised if it’s not until 2020 sometime when we see the change.
