Does anyone know if part 135 jet time would count for the direct entry captain or if they're strict and it has to be 121 time? thanks

Would it perhaps matter if it is 135 jet charter flights or 135 jet scheduled flights? I have heard that the FAA treats 135 scheduled flights similarly to 121 flights, but don't have a reg in front of me to back it up.

I believe 135 means only 135 (even if it’s scheduled stuff). I’m also not 100% sure but I don’t believe scheduled 135 counts as 121.

certain 135 time counts, you’d have to reach out to a recruiter and ask. Chad is a good guy.

FAR's say PIC in part 135 and part 91k count. I know PSA used to accept these.

"Have a minimum of 1,000 flight hours in air carrier operations as an SIC in part 121 operations, a PIC in operations under either § 135.243(a)(1) or
§ 91.1053(a)(2)(i), or any combination of these."

Still accepts and counts this time towards upgrade. I can confirm first-hand.

I’m a new hire currently almost done with training. My base is phl. Wondering if I should change it to dca. Both are the same commute from my house.

My main question is who flies on reserve more…. DCA people or phl?
