Lowest bidder. That's who gets the flying. That's who get's contracts in the business world. Regionals are just staffing companies. The one with the most senior employee group has the highest labor costs. A company with a high ratio of senior employees must cut costs to compete with a company with lower paid employees. The problem is the seniority system. It rewards longevity, which is fine at the majors, but causes inherent problems for regionals. If regional pilots were promoted based on things that the business world promotes for and there was no seniority system how would that change things? All of the bickering among pilot groups, supposed shortage of pilots, and competition for the pilots that are out there has not done a single thing to enhance the QOL, pay, or work rules for the group as a whole. How can most regional pilots expect the representation that they deserve when their union also represents the majors who have competing interests? Regional pilots want what the major pilots have and the major pilots don't want to give it up......but they have the same union that represents them both. Why would anyone think they could make a career out of regional flying? Bickering and blaming among the regional pilot groups can only hurt your cause and serves to keep chipping away at any peace of mind you may have. But hey.....some people are only happy if they're totally unhappy and they won't be completely happy until you're totally unhappy. LOL!

Yes. We would be less angry if they had gone to Mesa.

Would Eagle be in its current predicament had PSA pilots voted NO? The answer is no, if PSA had voted NO at least the first time around, we would be much less screwed today. I'm sure we'd still be screwed, just not quite so bad.

So sorry PSA, Eagle guys will never forgive you.

You need to calm down, they don't need your forgiveness. It is useless for you to come here on forums and keep crying your eyes out.

I second that I always wanted to work at Eagle. Every single person Ive met there says run away. It either really sucks or they don't want new hires so they can pressure mgmt for improvements for themselves, how noble. O, btw don't go to Republic, Mesa, Go-jets, PDT, PSA, Endeavor or your pond scum. AWAC is a temp job, XJT quit hiring, SKW is Non- union. Compass go to Compass, base is across the country; app bin is full of 3-5 year FOs moving sideways, but go there.

Yes, and they have a pilot group that is willing to standup for the contract they deserve which is why their contract is the worst. It is a 2003 contract that became amendable in 2007, and the pilots refuse to ratify a concessionary contract worth less than they deserve. THAT IS TRUE SACRIFICE. I wouldn't expect a PDT pilot to understand what a backbone is, or what it's like working under a HORRIBLE CBA holding the line against against a hostile management team. You guys caved for a meager pittance increase that you are now locked under for a decade.
You've already done the damage so just go home little boy and let the rest of us try to fix things.

So you were drafted into Republic? You must have a lot of pride to beat your chest while your hostile mgmt secures flying for you.
