Yea, we've been told to expect 3 to 4 weeks between sims and ioe.

Last I heard, it was more like 6-8 weeks. @gatorbuc99, how long was your wait for IOE?

I'm in gatorbuc99's class, and I haven't been scheduled for Diff Sims yet. That said, I was one of the last guys to go to Initial Sims. I suspect they take that list they create for Initial and just go from top to bottom.

Hired in September:

1 week wait from ground training in DAY to FAA oral

1 week wait from FAA oral to Sims (sims done in 14 days start/finish)

2.5 weeks wait from sims to differences ground

2 week wait before differences sims.

Above were approximate wait times for me

Now waiting for IOE. They better call soon, I don't know if my wife can handle me being home so much.

Seems things are shifting.

Mine was
4 days ground to oral
3.5 weeks oral to sims.
One week sims to differences
One week differences to sims
One week sims to IOE

Obviously with the increased number of new hires per class and loss of check airman the wait is up drastically. New check airman are being trained/finishing up. Also factor in the ioe for the captain upgrades. They are pumping 25+- upgrades a month now. So you have 60-70 FOs and 20-25 captains doing IOE each month.

Another data point:

Indoc: 10/13 - 11/20
Oral: 12/3
Initial Sim: 12/6 - 12/18
Diff Ground: 1/5 - 1/6
Diff Sims: ?
IOE: ?

Is the shortage of CKA's the reason for an "FAA oral?" The CA's use to be the only ones getting the Fed.
