Absolutely not.

I think that everyone realizes that if PSA had voted no, they would have shut the company down and moved the flying elsewhere (probably Mesa with an even worse contract).

never, in fact I had a Capt the other night make sure that he got their O2 serviced so they could take me. Don't believe all these jumpseat ghost stories on this site, they are so over blown.

That's not entirely true. I have heard two occurrences straight from the mouth of the people denied. However this was within a month or two of us passing the LOA.

Kinda throwing poo at a wall and hoping it sticks doesn't always work

Oh average completion rate for new hires at all regionals in 2011 was 94%.

Then he is lying. I assure you I have denied so many PSA guys a seat that ALPA National has even spoken with me. Well, tried to speak with me.

The vast majority that make it to the checkrides pass, the 82% pass rate takes into account people who leave on their own volition (most hired by LCC's, majors). The training here isnt rocket surgery and I found it a lot easier than my first 121 initial.

Thanks. yeah its just been 6 years from my first 121, just looking to get back into it, got a little bit nervous since the ATP written rules changed where you have to pay 5K to take the test.

The subtle hint here is that the 18% failure rate is largely offset by people who quit half way through training to go to a major airline or your garden variety Jetblue. Doesn't this sound like hogwash? I mean think it through: Someone came to PSA and then quit to go to a major. While I am sure it happens, it has to be statistically insignificant. This seems to be the average PSA propaganda artists main plan on these social media sites: misdirection and hype.

The bottom line is that PSAs 18% incompletion rate is 3 times higher than the regional average of 6% from 2012(which is also a nunber of people who did not finish from those who started).

It is easy to conclude that PSA is indeed hiring everything they can get their hands on and hoping as much poo as possible sticks up against the wall. They would likely pass more, but the FAA is on them like a fly on, well poo.
