Does the SAP allow a junior guy to bid back to back trips and then have a longer stretch of days off? For example...6 or 7 days on followed by 5 or 6 off?

You only can sap if you are a round one line holder so no not really. Once you are senior enough to hold a round one then you can compete with every other round one line holder during sap for anything that is available in open time. 121 regs do not allow you to work 7 days in a row without time off but 6 in a row is doable. Also you could work half the month by doing 4 on 1 off 4 on 1 off 4 on if you can get the three 4 days to exceed 65 hrs.

Where in the reg does it say you can't work 7 days in a row?

If you could duty off at 0900 one day you could be back on at 1500 the next.

I believe that's the point astec is trying to make.

Yep.. I've personally worked 7 days in a row. It sucks. But if you mix it with 2 And 3 day trips it's not horrible. Kind of like a M-F 9-5

Any idea how long it's taking to become a round one line holder right now?
