I was hired In Sept. I'm still on reserve in Clt. I missed long call for May by 1 or 2 numbers. However since there have been soo many captain upgrades I think in June I'll get a round 2 build up line right off.

The "will fly list" really has nothing to do with reserve and is a way for the company to not junior man.

If you want to fly ask for "first out" while on reserve. Don't put your name on that stupid will fly list.

Try re-reading it one more time, especially paragraph 3. It says that if you do not have 300 hours with the company, you can still upgrade if you have 500 hours 121 PIC and 2500 total time plus the other stuff listed below.

You have to qualify with either paragraph 2 or paragraph 3, not both. If you have time with the company, use paragraph 2. If not, use paragraph 3.

How long were you in training? Wondering how long you have actually been sitting reserve since being done with IOE?

Does this mean if youre former 121 without 121 PIC you can upgrade at 300 company hours but new 121 pilots still need 1000 SIC?

I don't know. Seems like they are upgrading people now with 50 hours SIC at the company.

Once you hit 71 hrs of credit on reserve
you can drop your remaining reserve days
for the month. If your on short call you
can indicate a preference for being first
out..Has nothing to do with the will fly list.

I think you meant to respond to someone else, I agree with you.

Oops. Sorry. I misread the posts. I was responding to Zivko, but you already corrected him.

Guys its real easy. All they are doing is addressing the guys with previous time that could potentially fulfill the 121 requirement reg.

First of all, no matter what, you have to meet the 121 requirements as usual.

But let's say you are a former military aircraft commander and you have logged 1000 hours as the commander of the airplane. You meet the requirements to be PIC at a 121 airline like PSA. You can be Captain PER THE FARs.

But PSA is saying "wait" no so fast, you have to meet the following additional requirements-

You have to either

A.) Log 300 hours as a PSA FO

-or-

B.) Have 2500 hours total time with 500 in a multi turbine
-and 1 of the following-
1.) 500 hours PIC 121 -or-
2.) 1000 hours SIC 121 -or-
3.) a mix and match of 1 and 2
This is not something to invite street captains the way I read it, this is more restrictive than the reg.

Of course I could be wrong too though but this is how it reads to me.
