If I was in charge, I would push for a maintenance and crew base in DCA or another hub and close the outstation bases.

It's just like a PSA person to screw over even your own peeps.

While I don't think we should close any of the current bases, I do think another hub base would go a long way to attracting new hires in the future.

As a potential recruit for PSA, CVG is turning me away. I know that theres never any guarantee in this career, but I was really holding out for the BNA base. At this point, I may end up going to Endeavor and make 20k more per year with the same commute. Im trying to decide if SAP is worth 20k. Currently Endeavor's training department is flowing good, with very little delay. And they have a SSP to Delta... am I off base here?

I wouldn't hold out for any company. Also CVG wont be the only base opening if it does open they have 60+ more planes coming and its to small for that many. The others are pretty much full, so I would bet if they don't open a hub base they will have to open at least 2 outstation bases. Commuting to rsv on a one hour flight is worse than commuting on a 5 hour flight to a line. I've talked to a couple of PSA guys who turned down AA for SAP, but there's lifers at every regional.
IMO I wouldn't go to Endeavor because your just inheriting what so many 7-8 year FO's left, that's why the bonus is there. To me, its pretty much an admission that no good things will happen there for such a long time.
Right now, I would look very hard at Piedmont, then PSA, if your 6 months or more away from ATP mins I would look at Eagle, by then you may be able to see past the horizon over there.

AWAC and Go-jets contracts run out before your next CFI renewal
You'll draw social security before you upgrade at XJT
RAH is circling the drain, so far this year
If your currently employed, your making more than you will at Mesa

Other than AAG WO's , that leaves SKW, Compass, and TSA. of those three I believe Compass's AA contract is shorter than your upgrade there will be so that's out.
Pretty much leaves Tsa or skw, 6-1 half dozen to the other, or Horizon if you live in the Pacific northwest.

The SAP is broken as of now. It's infective for most unless you are the lucky few who get trades in right at opening. But a lot of endeavor folks came over to PSA. We haven't hired many FO's since may. The training bubble is dissipate due to lack of hiring and no more back up.

I hear AWAC has language for 700's. There is hope there. PDT would be good too

I think PSA is a better bet for you if you're young.

Care to elaborate. Assuming all planes scheduled to come do, and none of the 200's get parked. And they stop DEC. Your last growth captain was hired months ago. I think it's safe to say the psa ship has sailed. I think PDT could be a good choice but the transition to dull old jets could be a struggle for them. Envoy could be good but right now it's hard to see the light as they just announced the first upgrades.

Psa hasn't received half of the planes scheduled to arrived. The ship has definitely not sailed.
