Yes, I read his post.

Given over 35 years in the airlines and having used both, I find his observations surprising which led to the second question in my post.

So no cvg and no ord, then where are they going to stage all the ord flying out of?

Nashtyville maybe? There have been so many rumors thrown around for months now about which new crew base PSA is going to open that I honestly don't even care anymore. Literally every week it's a new rumor. And so far no one has been correct really. Unless it's a commutable hub I could honestly care less anyways. If the company were smart and looking ahead to next year and realized that staffing WILL become an issue, they would open up a hub that will attract more west coast pilots.

Exactly what I have been saying. A commutable hub that would attract mid-west to west pilots. I don't see cvg or bna doing that.

And honestly we should have NEVER put FO hiring on hiatus until the fall... Next year we won't be able to attract enough FOs to staff the flying I fear. Better to pay FOs to sit for a few extra months than to have them pass on and go somewhere else.
