Those are called reserves
Yes and Reserves are part of the pilot group. I'm guessing you are on of the senior guys that benefited from this contract at the expense of the junior guys, just like the mainline guys that voted to release scope and created this whole regional mess in the first place
Are you serious? You are going to cry and stomp your feet because mommy hasn't bought your new toy yet?
paaaallllleeeeeezzzzz.....
I'm using the iPad as just another example of type of management that exist here. They promise iPads and don't deliver, they promise referral bonuses and don't deliver, the contract discusses in base hotels on a case by case bases again they don't deliver.
I'm just providing information about what can be expected from the PSA management for people that may be considering PSA as a career option.

They told us first quarter of 2016. The first month isn't even over yet?
I got all 4 of my referral bonuses. I'm not sure whats up with people not getting theirs....
You are right about the in base hotels, but the language in the contract is poorly written and is our fault for thinking that "case by case basis" means anything more than "NO".
I'm not defending management here, but at least choose some of the things they have actually screwed us on.
Critical pay, SAP etc. are the reasons to be ****ed off at the company, not the IPADs that aren't contractually guaranteed or in base hotels that also are not guaranteed.
The flight attendants have hotels guaranteed in base for cancellations, and they get them.

A friend had a cancellation in base, he called scheduling for a hotel. They said no, so he called the CPs, they said no also. Scheduling offered the captain he was flying with a hotel without the captain asking for it, go figure. Two pilots flying together on a trip have a cancellation in base, one pilot is offered a hotel and the other get's denied. One pilot is forced to sleep in the airport because all hotels in the area are sold out do to weather. That's the wonderful culture that exists and just warms your heart sometimes.

It's something that we could have negotiated for in ours as well, but we didn't, or it was denied. The contract was in place here prior to my arrival.
You are right though, scheduling is not who you want to call. They are clueless and could care less if we died, let alone need a room to sleep in.
