There are certain union requirements in opening a new base that lay out a time line. With that said, our union pretty much rolls over and lets the company do whatever they want, so that really doesn't matter.
It all depends on when it is needed for the flying that we are doing.

How many MX bases are we looking to end up with? We already have 4.
To the prior, I'm going to go ahead and say absolutely no way XNA becomes a CREW base. The company is going to be in trouble staffing wise. XNA not only doesn't help recruiting efforts, it may harm them if a new hire knows they are going to be stuck in Arkansas for 6 months after being hired.
The next base will be a hub. I still haven't seen this rumored "Chicago flying" but I have seen a crap ton of LGA flying. I'd bet on one of those.

ORD flying is set to begin in March, and Canada flying in April.

First of all, those dots represent where the current bases are (PSA and Mainline). They are NOT the possibilities of a new base location. It may be another hub base (like CLT), but nothing is guaranteed.
Second of all, there is no way that the company is using this Facebook post as anything more than a topic to generate hits on their page. AAG will determine where the base will be to best fill the needs of the required flying at the cheapest cost. Period.

Such a buzz kill. This is the Internet. There's no room for logic and reason. Next, you're going to tell me there's no such thing as Santa Clause.
It would be nice if it was another hub base. Then maybe the TYS crews can be back up for another base and not deal with CLT ramp, although the almost guaranteed over block is nice.

Yes, those are slated to start making it to the pilots in March or April. Latest rumor making the rounds is that FOs will be able to get rid of the paper charts and CAs will be responsible for keeping their paper Jepps updated until we go 100% EFBs.
