Yes, PSA's SAP offers an unparalleled QOL at the regional level with regards to being able to adjust one's schedule. Let's not forget all the wonderful hours of time off the clock ensuring our pay is correct and then multiple attempts to get it right. Reserve grid manipulation which has an ongoing arbitration where there seems to be no near end.
I'm not a PSA naysayer and I'm no cheerleader. Just trying to keep it real, if PSA is the right place for you welcome aboard but if there's a better regional fit WRT commute and you are coming here for a quick upgrade and SAP; you will probably regret that decision 3 years from now. It's still a regional, get in, get it done, and move on as soon as you can!!!

I've been scrutinizing all of them for a while now and PSA is the best fit for me to start my second career. Every regional seems to have some bad history they are trying to overcome. I agree they have to get the pay right though.
Best I can do is show up with a good attitude and hope they are trying to improve things every day. 👍

No one is staying at any regional airline because of these bonuses. Rather, the vast majority of regional pilots "retain" their employment at a regional airline simply because the next stepping stone or major has not called them,........ yet.
If ALPA (and those pilots who love these temporary bonuses) could look past the "free money", they'd disallow any future hiring and/or "retention" bonuses and would instead, force management to permanently fix the pay scales to reflect the experience, skills, professionalism, talent, dedication, and responsibility that these lowly regional pilots are expected to possess and exhibit, and thereby allow regional airlines to attract and "retain" as many talented professionals as they need.

All good my friend, thanks for the straight shootin'!!. Hopefully this massive forced retirements situation creates faster movement in the future if the industry stays strong.

Anyone that would recommend GoJet for any reason is obviously a troll.
If he has no 121 time, it is doubtful that he has the 1000 hours SIC that is required to upgrade right now.
PSA is upgrading 24 a month and will likely do so for quite a while. With growth and attrition, expect upgrade time to fall to about 18 months. It takes at least that long to get 1000 hours SIC in order to upgrade in the first place.

We've been running 2 classes of 12-15 a month since September or late August. The only exception was we ran just one class in November and only one in December, and I'd guess due to the holidays. But yeah you've been missing it then if you didn't notice.

The latest award had Oct 14 hires in upgrade, so right now the upgrade is at 2 years, 3 months or so. There's still a huge pack of FO's hired between Oct 14 and about Aug of 15, but after that FO hiring slowed to a crawl until Sept of 16, so once we hit that point upgrade would drop very quickly to 2 years or less.

Now that we've got FO's coming in the door and the latest hiring wave is now hitting the line the upgrades have jumped. Jan had 2 classes of 12 each, and it looks like there will be an upgrade class of 12 every 2 weeks going forward.

There is no word on flow getting bumped up. The union and company arent discussing that at the moment. We can't increase the flow until we can staff. They want a 1500-2000 pilot group.. good luck attaining that and good luck getting a higher flow number.

It will be bumped by 1 for every 62 CA's that we add to the list.
We are adding 24 captains a month, but losing quite a few as well...probably a net gain of 10-14 a month?
At this rate of hiring and upgrade, maybe one flow increase in April, and then again in September? It is just a guess, but maybe?
