I assume it CLT is senior for PSA, with that said, how long to hold it? How tolerable is a two leg commute through CLT to any of the other domiciles and what will DCA look like...ie senior, junior, easy to get?

I'm trying to guesstimate a timeline to get to CLT. Will be commuting from OAJ, DCA and CLT seem to be the easiest. Is it difficult to get to CVG,DAY,TYS from CLT on a regular commuter basis?

Sorry for the often heard new guy questions.....just trying to gauge the initial "suck factor"...........
The site seems to be down right now and has been for the past few days, but passrider.com is a great site to look at commuting options and frequency. Blindly answering your question, DCA should be junior initially and you should be able to hold it by the completion of IOE (barring a hiring standstill for whatever reason) and then transition to CLT later if the commuting options/QOL warrant the move.

Dubz

Great, thanks for the info. I will checkout the site.

Is there some talk of a hiring slowdown?

No not at all. Whered you hear that? We are still slated to grow by 35 aircraft plus attrition is increasing.

Just a one liner in a previous comment, that was made as an example of worst case......I was just confirming that I wasn't missing something. No "fake news" being propogated here....LOL.

Our hiring is going strong, and our training department is in full swing. There are no delays at all in the training process, which is great. We hired about 17 in the class 2 weeks ago, somewhere around 25 start today, and a little more than that 2 weeks from now. All in all, that is about 70 new FOs hires in January alone.

Looking into your crystal ball, how does holding CVG look? Good possibility for a new hire?

CVG is very junior. You can hold CVG right out of training, and be a R1 line holder in about 6 months.

Yeah CVG is super junior and getting more junior. Southwest just announced service to CVG which will add commuting options.

Uniform shirts;
I just got my indoc email today! I'm pretty stoked! The uniform size email is asking for shirt sizes. Do they provide shirts? I got a big neck and prefer tailored shirts, I don't mind supplying those. Abbots is a short drive from my house.

Buy your own. The Twin Hill ones are not great. I'm using shirts I had at my previous airline. The only "rules" I was told is the shirt has to have button holes for the wings (on the left) and double pockets.
