No, I understand that. It's all relative to the present hiring situation. In no way was it meant to have an entitlement tone to it, no need to take it that way. It'd be dumb of me to not give any consideration to reserve time, however. I don't see sitting reserve as "paying your dues" when you have the option to get a line quicker at a different base. The more money I can make, the better, I have bills to pay like everyone and every little bit over min guarantee is more than welcome. I would HOPE that people are not so bitter.

Thanks for the reply. That's what I was thinking. I may err on the side of caution and stay in Detroit.

3.5 years at the company and a whopping 4.5 months as a lineholder (the .5 was because of upgrade starting halfway into the month)
Oh yea and throw in a year furloughed for good measure......
Reserve at this company isn't usually too bad IF you live in base. In fact I might just keep bidding reserve or at least buildup even if I could be a bottom lineholder. But be careful with all the shuffling that the merger is bringing if you plan to move...

Plenty of people grow up in Mpls (metro area), move away, then end up moving back. Mpls is a good place to live.

No they aren't. You got 2 other threads closed already. Dont come in here and get this one closed too. Too many people out there with lots of hours. There is good information in here for people who are qualified and looking for a job. Go away.

From what I've seen, Detroit seems to have the most movement and I'm guessing I'd be off reserve quicker based out of DTW. Has anyone heard anything? I'd prefer not to be in MSP for 6 months reserve (I know, I'm pulling numbers out of my @@@).
It is a bit early to say since we don't know for sure where the new 900's will be going yet, but if I were a betting man I would go with DTW as being the base with the most movement for the next year. We'll have a better idea once the company announces its specific plans for the 15 900's.
