And about the weight thing I don’t think Americans scope deals with weight, only seats so it really would be as simple as yanking seats out of the thing. No new type certificate required. But I 100% could have been misinformed on that.

67 not 65. More premium seats, better range. Pre covid 67 pax was about the norm.

I thought the thread title was “future of UAX”?

Sorry for the dumb question but are we talking about taking seats out of YV 900s to fly for UAX? Or we need seats out to continue flying for AA?

AA, thread got side tracked by someone coming into the tread talking about what they heard with a minor change as to what AA was going to do. And we don’t necessarily need to take seats out. Just one thing that may happen to help AA’s scope trouble, but there are other things that could be done to help with that to.

Mate, it's a job, not my life. I'm gonna be sad if it closes, but there'll be other jobs after the recovery. I'm just saying that people have been thinking AWAC has been circling the drain for decades now. Doesn't mean it's happening now.

look at the numbers . The block hours at uax are going to Skywest, Mesa and Rah. Everyone else is trying to survive off of the left over scraps .
I Hope I’m wrong but numbers don’t lie.

United yanked someone else’s block hours (sounds like possibly Commutair’s; sorry to whoever was on the bad end of that) to double August’s schedule after discussions last month and Whiskey undowngraded 90+ captains. Doesn’t sound like they’re ready to throw Whiskey away. Not to say those three won’t have the lion’s share of the flying but it’s not all doom and gloom.

Exactly, just because we're not coming ahead at the front doesn't mean we're done for. The company is continuing to invest into the 700s. They wouldn't be doing that if they were expecting the company to die.

There isn’t enough flying to support 7 or 8 regional carriers . Not now and it won’t be for quite awhile .Unless Uncle Sam starts printing more money to give away, it will be financially impossible for all of these companies to survive .
Something has to give , thats all I’m saying .
