You burn bridges by breaking contracts. i.e. break a training contract and not paying back what is owed. What does your cadet contract say? I honestly don't know as I was never a cadet or felt the need to be one. I have heard that most cadet contracts allow you to leave without any penalty.

Hey, we were all that ignorant once. It is hard to have perspective when you haven't been in the industry yet. The problem comes when you are that ignorant but still ignore all the good advice from people who know better. But it is his life to **** up if he wants to.

Lol sheesh man. That’s the whole reason I asked on this forum is so I can take the advice given.

I have no clue when regional hiring will start again. I know y’all have a better pulse on that. That was my main point. If regional hiring is still years away, it’s an easy decision. If there’s a big upswing in passengers & they start hiring again in 6 months, that makes it a tougher decision..right?

This is all moot any way. I doubt you'll interview well and will most likely not get offered the citation job. Your best bet is to hope ATP doesn't kick you out for having too many hours before Envoy starts hiring again. Good luck.

I’m definitely aware that the advertised flow time has always been complete garbage & a recruiting tool.
Even if they do start hiring in the next six months they will NOT be hiring 1500 hour CFIs in the next six months. And Envoy in particular is furloughing people that will have to be rehired - or at least offered a position - before they can begin hiring anyone. In the meantime, AA is sending their regional flying to Skywest:

OO Increases AA Flying While ENY Furloughs

I don’t think there has been ANY PAX 121 hiring at a major in the past six months so almost nobody has moved up from a regional to a pax major in that time and at least three regionals have shut down dumping a number of far more qualified guys than you on the market, so they are going to be hired long before a 1500 hour CFI. I think you are looking at at least a year before a 1500 hour CFI will be hirable anywhere. But once hiring does start a CFI with a type rating and 135 jet time will get hired before any 1500 hour CFI without jet time.

See what the Envoy forum is saying about future prospects there:

Count me in the bandwagon for taking the 135 job. The Bravo was my first jet and was incredibly fun to fly. It will be a great experience and an increase in pay, literally no downsides. Plus I'm all for exploring different sides of the industry. You might see that you really enjoy 135 or corporate flying and change your goals accordingly. Or it might reinforce your desire to go to the airlines, in which case you'll be better suited to anyway when things start up again having turbine time and a type rating. I see almost no downsides to taking the Citation job.

I’d make sure the 135 opportunity is solid before dumping Envoy. Not all 135 gigs are good and some can really be rough and put your certificate at risk.
