You can fail out of training at Envoy and immediately start at Mesa as a backup (it’s been done many of times).

I don't think GoJet makes it till when you would be eligible to upgrade. I mean the only reason I would ever go there is because that is the only regional I could go where I wouldn't have to commute. And even at that I would have serious reservations and consider commuting.

GoJet is where you go when no one else wants you.

I have two CJO's, Envoy & OO. Orientation class date is on Dec 15th with Envoy and I have a 175 class with SKW on Jan 15th. I wIll be living in Tampa FL, knowing that with Envoy I have a remote chance of an MIA base assignment (Non-cadet), would you commute for SKW forever or would you roll the dice with Envoy for the chance of MIA? I'm thinking with the American network it would be easier to commute out of TPA. I understand that I may have to wait to get a shot in two-three years when bidding for CA as cadets will probably suck up all the 175s in class. Moving away from Tampa isn't an option, wish it were. Thanks!

Envoy would be the easiest commute and you’d have flow to AA in your back pocket if you don’t go somewhere else before your number is up. Outside of AA, neither company will give you an advantage anywhere else. Take the easy commute, fly as much as you can, and update your applications frequently. If you’re committed to living in TPA, eventually ending up at AA, or a LLC with a Florida base would be a pretty good gig.

Take the first class date. If you're not happy with envoy after the month then go OO. Don't know how Jr their IAH base is but tpa to IAH shouldn't be that bad. I know Miami looks good because it's in your state but would you realistically ever drive? If driving isn't an option then pick the best commute ( ones with the most flights). While yes Envoy has a flow...right now its at almost 8 years. While moving out of tpa would be hard...as I personally think it's a really nice place to live. Maybe you don't want the flow and end up NK or WN for their Orlando base.

Btw you're commuting for both. Anything imo over 2.5 hrs is a commute.

Awful advice, do NOT listen to this.
You should never leave a regional to another regional within a year. That's a massive red flag. Making a sideways move within a year SCREAMS of probationary release. Good luck explaining that one in an interview.

Ok this is wild. You asked this in another thread and I answered Envoy. But hear me out.

Have you looked at Silver? They have a base in TPA, yeah their pay is a bit lower, but you’re driving to work, QOL could be better. 121 time is 121 time, be it in a shiny new 175 or a shiny new ATR. I don’t know much about them, but it’s worth exploring.
