Guys, there is no preferential hiring agreement! Heard from hr themselves when I interviewed with mesaba last week. The unions apparently decided that between themselves, while I'm sure it doesn't hurt to forward your resume to the xj alpa chair I IMPLORE you all to APPLY ONLINE AT MESABAS WEBSITE. Directly from xj HR "if all you do is give your resume to alpa you WILL NOT GET LOOKED at"

Ok guys I will give you my experience. I'm Comair being furloughed in the Jan group. I sent in my app to Mesaba either the first or sec week of NOV. I emailed the Mesaba MEC just like I was instructed and got a phone call for an interview in 13 days. I interviewed last week and got called yesterday for a class date. I start Feb 2nd in the 900. I have no idea if it was preferential hiring or not, but emailing the MEC did not hurt me one bit. I also have a buddy from comair that did the same thing and has an interview tomorrow, well in like 7 hours. He did email the MEC the same thing. He went a while w/ out any word from Mesaba. I told him to check his app and he saw a couple things he filled out wrong. He fixed them and got a call for an interview the very next day. IF you havent gotten a call in 2-3 weeks after submitting your app or atleast the no thanks email, check your app and make sure you answered everything, and answered it correctly. Also if you want the correct Mesaba Mec email adress PM me I will send it to you. Like I said it did not hurt me nor my buddy who interviews tomorrow. Best of luck WS.
