Comair updates?

There are hundreds of ways to make it better, but they all would cost the company money. Listen, the contract is a regional airline contract. It is very difficult to have a nice quality of life under this contract.
And let me add one more thought. No matter who you fly for there will always be complaining about the contract under which you work. I left Comair last summer and started working for another airline, and there is just as much complaining about the contract and management here as there is at Comair.

Speaking from 2 1/2 years of reserve in CVG....and now 7 months as a fairly senior line holder in JFK.... Quality of life DRASTICLY increases with a line and a little seniority. Sad but true.
And yes you are totally right....there are two major reasons it s*cks at the regional level....becasue like you said....it's just that and always will be, a regional airline....AND all the ways to make it better would cost the company money, and that's the bottom line.
ftrpilot--Can I assume you are a comair scheduler?

the unfortunate thing is if you ask any scheduler they will tell you about 95% of pilots are great group of guys just there the 5% that are ****ed of at the world that make life hell for everyone. I can tell its the same people that everyday we deal with and try and slip out of everything and it screws alot of people.

Are you serious, is Tim Mullane sitting reserve? Talk about screwing up a bid!!!
Also, the schedulers for the most part a very nice folks. I have said on many occasions that I would enjoy having a beer with most of them. The fact of the matter is that they have to work under crappy conditions. I am pretty sure that most schedulers, like most of us pilots, would like to do the minimum amount of work for the most money. That's the American way right?
