Also, it looks like the yield fare priority is S3B priority, but I am curious what the seniority date will be for those tickets. On your anniversary date each year you must pay $50.00 so I wonder if you just keep the seniority date that you left with?

I also wonder if you give out buddy passes now, if they stop working as of the date that you leave.
As I understand it.... the only thing that changes about your flight benefits is your priority. I have been able to ride CHQ and DAL with no problems. There is a charge for parents and dependents... I haven't tried using a Buddy Pass, but I was able to authorize one?

What happens to us furloughed guys if Comair merges with Mesaba or Compass? Where do we stand on the seniority list? I would think we would be treated as if we are still on property.

To all pilots being furloughed on the 19th.
You will not get a check on the 1st of February. The only check you will get is going to be on the 15th. Of February. If you want your vacation pay to be paid out, you will have to talk to one of the chiefs and have him email payroll to authorize them to pay it out on the February 15th. check.

Good luck to all.

Q1 ANS No, unless said person quit for a very good reason. Generally, the answer is no, even if you have a good reason.

Q2 ANS Possibly. You stand a much better chance at getting UI if you were fired, but they will want to know the circumstances, with the facts weighted most favorably to the petioner for UI. So don't give the employer ammo to cause you to be denied UI.

I had been told several times that it's a dirty little secret of ALPA's that furloughed pilots get stapled to the bottom of a merged seniority list.

Not sure if it's true, but I've been told that several times from several different people.

Does anyone know if the Jan. 19th guys and gals will be receiving a profit-sharing check (assuming ANYONE gets one)? I would think we would, as we were on the property for the whole quarter (getting abused). Any insight would be great.

You only qualify for WIA when you are on unemployment. Question is, do you qualify for unemployment if you take the buyout?. Not sure about that one.

Here is what the General Release letter says.

IN CONSIDERATION of the mutual promises extended in the Voluntary 55-Point Retirement or Early-Out Programs, I, ________________, on behalf of myself, my heirs, executors, successors, and assigns, hereby release (deleted), Inc. as well as all of it's owners, affiliates, subsidiaries, and divisions and it's directors, executives, managers, and employees [collectively, "(deleted)"], from all claims [except my claim for unemployment compensation benefits], debts, demands, rights, actions, causes of action, suits, contracts, agreements, damages, whatsoever of every nature, whether known or unknown, against (deleted) including any relating to or arising from my employment with (deleted) or the circumstances giving rise to the termination of my employment from (deleted) [hereafter "Claims"].

How do you read that paragraph?
