So what do you think will happen when all of the returning pilots choose the Jan class date? Will they force the jr pilots to take the Dec class?

yet to be seen. comair didnt offer the dates as a bid but rather "take your pick." ALPA says pick whats best for you and try to stick to your guns. its their mistake. if you want a link to the replay PM me or email MP the furlough chairman

My guess is, most November furloughs will come back, the majority of voluntaries not so much, since they have an option to bypass.

Kinda sucks that they dont want to bring back anyone thats out of currency. example January 09 November 08 guys because they dont want to foot the bill. At least thats what I got from the conference call.

Completely random . . .

I got one of the usual ALPA letters in the mail today soliciting me to buy more insurance. Nothing particularly different about it, except this time the letter contained a single serving Maxwell House coffee bag.

The End.

Heard a Comair pilot interviewed today on NPR. This case it was about companies looking for pay cuts or in our case downgraded captains. They mentioned Comair downgraded 150 captains. Wish they had mentioned the 330 addition furloughs, but they didn't. Trying to find a link....

Of course he didn't mention furloughs... all they can think about is themselves.

No one cares unless it affects them.

Read the comments... people are calculating his $67 to $42/hour pay cut and saying that's still a buttload of money. "Boo hoo, Mister pilot. I'd keep that job if I were you..."

Of course, they're figuring his salary based on 40 hours/week, because the article doesn't say otherwise.

Nice reporting.
