For those guys already back, how long did it take to get your medical cards? I know they said we get healthcare from day 1. Thanks!

Try thinking outside of the box a bit when it comes to defining "being screwed". There's more to life than just gaining a little bit of flying experience. There were families involved, other than flying careers, prior flying opportunities, TIME, MONEY. For example... I estimate my financial losses, as a direct result of Comair hiring me then immediately furloughing me, to be in the ballpark of $50000 lost income. My previous income over 1.5 yrs - Comair income/unemployment income/present income = ~($50000)

I'm not sure why you would want to push this agenda. You might just want to apologize and move on with life. Good luck to you.
I agree. It is everywhere, look at all those people that the mortgage companies "screwed over" by loaning them money for houses they could not afford. And look at all the people that get "screwed over" by the payday loan companies who charge them high interest. And look at all those people that get "screwed over" by bars that over serve them, then they drive home and get DUI's. If we could just get these "other" folks (not us) to take responsibility for their actions, the world would be a better place.

I'm sorry you feel it necessary to equate a job to a payday loan. I don't need anybody to pay my mortgage or any other debt in my name. I'm just stating that most people expect a job offer to live up to be more than a two month "space camp." And, if you don't think it had and still has repercussions on my life, then you're unreasonable. Comair will have a chance to make things right when they give every pilot an opportunity of recall per our contract.

This is such a stupid ****ing match. Everybody got screwed. I think it was him saying those guys were lucky to get the training and time and not just sent home. Who got screwed more guys at Comair for over a year or barely on proerty?

Do I understand you correctly that you think that people that were hired and then furloughed almost immediately were not 'screwed over'?

Your comparison to those that tend to try to shift blame for their bad circumstances is incongruent. How on earth do you compare someone that has had too much to drink and blaming his circumstances on the bartender to an individual that has in good faith accepted a job offer from Comair?

Everyone makes mistakes, myself included. You deserve a mulligan for this one.

Agreed. As pilots, we are all our own worst enemies.

Once ASA puts in an order for 300 or so airplanes and/or hires a couple thousand pilots I will believe you. Until then, be a man and live up to your word and leave us alone and never post here again!

Guys who came back in May all had three or four day IOE trips, last leg being a line check (the check airman that you did trip with will sit js and they had a line captain fly as nonflying pilot for the line check).

Medical cards took about three weeks to come for me, but you can use the benefits without the card if you ask HR for the policy number.
